Dear Friend and Supporter,

It is with great disappointment that we must inform you that the organising committee have had to cancel this year’s Wishes 4 Kids Charity Fireworks and Bonfire Night.

The Event has turned into a major event over the last 3 years, and with over 10,000 people expected we must put public safety as our priority. Unfortunately, the weather has been very wet in the last few weeks, and continues to be. This has meant that the ground conditions are not safe, and we would not be able to put on the event to the highest standards you have come to expect.

The Bonfire is a major fundraiser for Wishes 4 Kids, last year raising £17,500. If you would like to support the charity and donate to help cover the costs to help to raise vital funds to ensure that as many wishes as possible can be granted throughout 2020 then please follow the link to donate –

You can donate from £2 and every donation helps grant wishes for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas and have suffered major abuse.

What an AMAZING afternoon we had yesterday.
We held our very first Wishes 4 Kids Halloween Party at Caterpillar in Desford and everybody had a brilliant time.
We would like to thank Caterpillar for letting us have the venue and a special mention must go to John and Kirsty from Caterpillar who helped us to decorate the room and worked tirelessly to make the event so special for our children.
We would also like to thank Santa Snepste who donated 140 Halloween themed cupcakes for our families to enjoy.
A huge thank you to Sharon Clutton who let us use her projected pumpkin display which looked fantastic.
Also thank you to our very own Paula McAllister who is always there when we need her.
We are so grateful to you all and could not have managed without you.

Wishes 4 Kids would like to thank Waitrose in Oadby and all of their customers for helping to raise money for our Charity.
We were very kindly included in their Community Matters programme for the month of August and based on the proportion of customers votes, we received a fantastic £380.

On Saturday 17th August Caterpillar Desford held an Open Day to raise money for Wishes 4 Kids. It was an amazing day that was enjoyed by everybody.
An unbelievable £14000 was raised from this fantastic event.
We cannot thank everyone at Caterpillar enough for all of their support, kindness and hard work in helping to raise such a magnificent amount.
Thanks to you many more local, poorly children will be able to have their wishes granted.

Wishes 4 Kids were, very kindly, invited to attend the Victory Show last weekend. We had a wonderful time and would like to thank everyone who organised the show for their kindness.
The Wishes 4 Kids tombola raised £439.75.
We had a huge amount of support from Crowndale Foods and D&J Catering who provided transportation and drinks for us to sell on the day. Thanks to their generosity another £518.45 was raised for the Charity.

The 1852 Brewery in Wigston are hosting a Family Fun Day on Monday 26th August for Wishes 4 Kids. There will be plenty to do for all the family so please come along and support them on what will be a fantastic day.
